For those of you who don’t know, Comfort Camping is fantastic. High-end campsites that provide an unforgettable camping experience, and Makai loved it.

If you want to find out more about these beautiful landscaped sites that offer riverfront or park views, private decks, and REAL
beds, check out Tracey’s post Glamping in Dinosaur Provincial Park.

We had roughly a 2 hour drive from Calgary towards Brooks, Alberta (map).  Now when people think about Alberta and dinosaurs they usually think about Drumheller and the Tyrrell Museum, however 176 km southeast of Drumheller, is Dinosaur Provincial Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) the largest and most spectacular area of badlands in Canada, boasting over 20 500 acres in 83 sq. km.

Of course the day we choose to do our adventure was the coldest day and night in over 4 months, and it was raining…

However the next day was magnificent.

The night before, just as the rain ended, we managed to scout out an great location on the Trail of the Fossil Hunters.

I was up early and left Tracey and Makai to enjoy the comfort of our huge canvas prospecting tent.  Because the evening was overcast I had no chance to photograph the Harvest Moon however the next morning was clear and fortunately I had a small window  to photograph the Harvest Moon before it disappeared.

The Harvest Moon was great but the real show was beginning right behind me.
